How this calculator works
A standard calculator asks how many units to draw given a BAC water volume. This
one works backward: you choose the draw size you want, and it solves for the BAC
water that produces it.
BAC water mL = (vial mg × draw units × 0.01) ÷ dose mg
The draw in units is first converted to milliliters (1 unit = 0.01 mL on a U-100
syringe). Worked example: a 10 mg vial, a 500 mcg (0.5 mg) dose, and a target
draw of 25 units (0.25 mL) needs 2 mg/mL, so BAC water = 10 ÷ 2 =
5 mL.
When to work backward
Solving for BAC water is useful when you want a consistent draw size across vials
of differing mass, or a draw large enough to measure precisely on your syringe.

Units & conversions
Doses are entered in micrograms or milligrams, where 1 mg = 1000 mcg.
Syringe volume relates to draw as 1 mL = 100 units, so 0.01 mL = 1 unit. The
