Why tirzepatide is titrated at all

Tirzepatide has a half-life of roughly five days, so a weekly dose does not clear before the next one arrives. Levels build for about four to five weeks after any change before settling. That is the single most useful thing this chart shows: week one of a new step does not represent that step. Judging tolerability or effect from the first week after an increase reads the curve too early.

What the model does not know
